Position Overview
This role involves a global IT focus, acting as an analyst to enhance operational efficiency with a focus on automation. The primary responsibility is to design, implement, and deploy SAP ERP solutions specifically for Production Planning (PP), which encompasses S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), Forecasting, Purchasing, MRP (Materials Requirements Planning), MPS (Master Production Schedule), and the complete manufacturing workflow, along with Procurement Processes and Supply Chain Operations.
Technical Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and support of SAP PP & MM functionalities.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Operations, covering areas such as Sales & Operations Planning, Forecasting, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Demand Management, Manufacturing processes, Work in Process (WIP), Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, Product Master Data, MRP, MPS, Work centers, Inventory, Costing, and Stock Controls.
- Engage in process analysis and redesign to improve system capabilities.
- Oversee facility parameters including MRP controller, MRP groups, MRP types, and availability checks for components.
- Manage SAP operation department activities such as order creation, planned order conversions, shop paper printing, goods movements, order confirmations, and availability checks.
- Implement a repetitive manufacturing environment for production tasks.
- Execute Detailed Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Evaluation, and Levelling to allocate operations to resources while configuring PI sheets, process messages, and instructions.
- Collaborate with the Costs and Finance Control team to resolve issues related to costing sheets, activity pricing, work centers, activity types, cost center assignments, and product cost collectors.
Business Strategy, Processes & Administration
- Identify and propose enhancements to business processes and systems proactively.
- Work independently and may mentor junior team members.
- Conduct detailed analyses of complex business process requirements and provide suitable system solutions; document customer requirements effectively.
- Analyze current business requirements (As Is), design business processes, and propose functional solutions for future states (To Be).
- Create functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and forms.
- Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements.
- Design, configure, customize, test, and document SAP PP features.
- Manage third-party project execution and improvements.
- Act as a liaison with clients for troubleshooting, investigating, analyzing, and resolving software issues.
- Participate in system upgrades, including end-to-end testing.
- Develop and implement testing plans for processes and configurations to ensure quality in system modifications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation: Processes, Procedures & Training.
- Train users on processes, procedures, and systems.
- Support daily operational issues, prioritizing critical matters.
- Handle urgent changes or transports as necessary for high-priority issues.
- Provide timely responses to end-user inquiries and help desk tickets to assist in problem resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT.
- Maintain a focus on security, standards, and compliance policies while developing optimal solutions.
- Ensure timely closure of tickets according to predefined SLAs.
Minimum Required Education, Background and Experience:
- Ten (10) years of experience in full-cycle implementations and support projects.
- Ten (10) years of experience in designing and configuring PP & MM modules, with knowledge of key integration points with other SAP modules.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience managing projects with third parties, including team management, project costs, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Experience achieving Go-Live dates and providing Go-Live and Post Live Support, including end-user training and documentation.
- Coordination with technical consultants (ABAP) for functional specifications and report customization.
- Involvement in unit and integration testing with other modules and creation of test scenarios.
- Global functional experience with two full life cycle SAP-ECC 6.0 implementations, customization, and production support in PP & MM modules.
- Experience with business requirement analysis, mapping business processes to SAP processes, GAP analysis, configuration, re-engineering, prototyping, testing, training, documentation, and post Go-Live support.
- Familiarity with ASAP methodology for structured SAP project implementation.
- Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
- Strong communication skills in English (listening, verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal).

Preferred Education, Experience and Knowledge:

Pay Transparency:
$115,000 - $135,000.
