Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless movement of products from suppliers to end-users, focusing on both inbound and outbound shipments, both domestically and internationally. This position is essential for maintaining efficient delivery and supply chain operations, ensuring they are cost-effective and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the transportation of products between various locations for all warehouses.
  • Coordinate logistics to fulfill customer demands promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage the receipt and delivery coordination of purchased products from suppliers.
  • Implement measures to prevent quality control issues in all shipments.
  • Supervise activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation process to meet established deadlines.
  • Regularly assess freight costs and transportation rates in collaboration with our 3PL partner to optimize expenses.
  • Enhance and automate existing shipping and transportation workflows.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases of logistics information for both ocean and small parcel shipments.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) for logistics and transportation activities.
  • Facilitate the duty drawback program for both direct and indirect materials.
  • Handle invoicing for domestic, ocean, and small parcel shipments.
  • Streamline processes for international shipping operations.
  • Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling challenges, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers regarding service impacts and performance issues.
  • Effectively communicate with customers on a regular basis regarding service expectations and any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with 3PL/Warehouse to address any damages or losses during transit, managing claims as required.
  • Track and manage claims with carriers/providers, coordinating with accounting on necessary credits.
  • Work closely with buyers on urgent inbound deliveries that require tracking and communication.
  • May be tasked with quoting, booking, and issuing documents for air freight shipments as needed.
  • Prepare monthly reports on freight accrual for all divisions within Arlon.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Analyst on monthly SD reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with legal regulations governing logistics.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international freight processes.
  • Proficient in Incoterms and logistics terminology.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as dictated by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of ISO systems.
  • Experience with Duty Drawback processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP software.
Compensation Information:

The pay rate for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The company reserves the right to adjust compensation as necessary.
