Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager at DICK'S Sporting Goods is a key member of our store leadership team, responsible for driving brand and operational excellence throughout the store. This role prioritizes teammate coaching, development, and wellbeing while staying engaged in financial metrics, store performance, and short/long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the store department
- Operational planning and organization, both short-term and long-term, with guidance from the Store Manager
- Recruit in the community and support opportunities for teammates to give back to their community
- Partner with store leadership to hire a strong, inclusive, and diverse team and manage store workforce planning (including payroll budget and scheduling)
- Hold team accountable for meeting operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service expectations, and company policies
- Drive shrink results through compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures
- Communicate transparently and build an engaging environment for the team
- Passion for coaching and development of oneself and others; infuse learning into day-to-day leading
- Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates & customers) feels safe, welcome, and is treated with respect
