Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

At Ahwatukee Store (32nd St & Chandler Blvd), we are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our sales floor team and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute retail operations plans to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  • Monitor product levels and manage inventory to achieve bottom-line sales budget targets.
  • Ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Work to de-escalate customer situations while finding solutions.
  • Ensure store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand.
  • Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales floor.
  • Ensure Team Members are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
  • Act as a key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
  • Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns.
  • Ensure Team Members operate per company standards and procedures.
  • Travel to other Goodwill locations to assist other stores and attend training and development classes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • One-year work experience in Retail Management required.
  • One-year customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
