Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) by overseeing the comprehensive management of extensive research and development initiatives in microelectronics. This position involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the design, solicitation, procurement, and execution of intricate scientific projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced consulting skills to navigate complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Engage directly with government program managers and other stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Oversee the development and management of program budgets, schedules, and the tracking of financial commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
  • Facilitate new program acquisitions, solicitations, and contracting processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within a Department of Defense (DoD) context.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management for DoD programs.
  • Proven ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing analytical support to defense research and development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Agencies Initiative financial system.
  • Experience in generating military interdepartmental purchase requests.
  • Background in collaborating with advanced research project agencies such as DARPA, ARPAe, and IARPA.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Possession of a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, experience, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this role is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 annually.
