This role involves engaging with various Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) offices to advocate for budgetary and capability needs related to national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of SPPBE and Capability Development processes, providing actionable recommendations to government personnel.
  • Assist in the SPPBE cycle by evaluating ongoing program financial requirements and ensuring robust financial oversight.
  • Gather and interpret budgetary data, preparing detailed presentations to support decision-making processes.
  • Analyze financial information to inform recommendations on current and future budgetary actions, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Utilize various funding software tools to manage financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Prepare essential funding documentation, including action requests and briefing materials, within specified timelines.
  • Support the Internal Management Control Program through accurate data entry and management.
  • Generate monthly budget reports that reflect the financial status of accounts and appropriations.
  • Engage in technical work related to budget analysis and compliance with established regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive-level briefings for high-ranking officials on program initiatives.
  • Document and report on program review meetings, outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with arms control offices to develop comprehensive financial plans and monitor execution.
  • Provide insights on programmatic issues and assist in the preparation of budgeting materials for review.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active DOD TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of experience in DoD budgeting and financial management.
