Position Overview:

Job Title: Controls Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with potential clients in the construction sector.
  • Creating and delivering automation sales presentations, identifying new opportunities, and providing competitive quotes to contractors.
  • Overseeing all phases of construction bidding processes.
  • Participating in industry trade shows for networking and account management.
  • Researching and identifying prospective projects through various channels such as bid boards, direct outreach, and market analysis.
  • Engaging with mechanical contractors, general contractors, consulting engineers, end users, and electrical contractors.
  • Collaborating with the General Manager, Project Managers, and Engineering Team to continuously enhance existing programs to achieve strategic goals.
  • Utilizing analytical and solution-oriented approaches to drive sales growth and profitability within the Georgia market.
  • Preparing and reviewing client proposal documents, including financial and technical components, utilizing standard templates and pricing models.
  • Driving sales at targeted margin levels to expand market presence.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, new technologies, and product innovations.
  • Eligible for sales incentives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial HVAC, with 3-5 years of experience in controls preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to present to customers and a strong sales aptitude.
  • Financial understanding, including cost modeling for proposals.
  • Experience in drafting technical proposals.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
