Our commitment to excellence has earned us recognition as one of the "Top 100 Places to Work" by Modern Healthcare Magazine.

Position Overview: Senior Consultant for Performance Solutions

Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote with Onsite Requirements as Necessary

The Senior Clinical Consultant for Integrated Performance Solutions plays a pivotal role in utilizing their clinical expertise—whether in Pharmacy, Operating Room, or other clinically intensive environments—to collaborate with business leaders and operational teams. This position is tasked with identifying, designing, and implementing innovative solutions within the clinical domain, harnessing current technologies to enhance workflows and meet business objectives, thereby promoting efficiency, clinical excellence, and cost-effectiveness throughout Mercy.

This role encompasses leading clinical projects, managing system configurations, executing solution development, optimizing workflows, coordinating training processes, and directing resources for effective solution implementation. The consultant will provide strategic guidance and recommendations for both immediate and long-term planning, impact evaluations, change management, and transformation of clinical workflows. Once systems are stabilized, the consultant will work closely with end-users to maximize system utilization, ensuring that Mercy derives optimal value from its technological investments while enhancing the experience for both caregivers and patients.

To achieve these objectives, the Senior Clinical Consultant will engage with key stakeholders and process owners to ensure that workflows, processes, and tools are effectively utilized and consistently applied. This includes identifying potential gaps in tools, defining improvement areas, implementing best practices, promoting industry standards, and collaborating with clinical leaders to continuously seek optimization opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of clinical or operational experience within an integrated health system is required. Practical experience with EHR and ERP solutions, along with reporting tools to manage clinical and business workflows, is essential.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a clinical field or pharmacy is required, along with a relevant clinical license.
  • Additional Skills: Proficiency in information and data management, experience in providing high-level operational or clinical support for applications, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of clinical staff are crucial. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey project benefits and workflow changes to non-technical personnel. The candidate must also be adept at managing multiple complex projects in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Why Mercy?

At Mercy, we foster a supportive community that stands by you, especially during challenging times. You will have the opportunity to innovate new care models and transform healthcare experiences through advanced technology and innovative practices. We are committed to expanding our services to meet community needs, and we invite you to be part of this journey.

Compassion and professionalism are at the core of our mission. We value a positive outlook and a strong sense of advocacy, which align perfectly with our vision. Collaboration and a willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional care are integral to our commitment. If these values resonate with you, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Mercy recognizes this as a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to maintain alertness and operate safely as a fundamental aspect of the role.
