Position Overview

The John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University is seeking highly qualified candidates for two postdoctoral research fellow positions in Computer Science. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with individual faculty members on research projects in theoretical computer science and data privacy.

Research Areas

  • Theoretical Computer Science: The Harvard Theory of Computation Group invites applications for postdoctoral research fellowships to work on research projects in various areas of theoretical computer science.
  • Data Privacy: The Harvard Privacy Tools Project, the OpenDP software project, and the Trustworthy AI Lab in the D^3 Institute are seeking applicants for postdoctoral research fellowships to tackle a range of data privacy issues using various disciplinary methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in theoretical computer science and data privacy under the guidance of individual faculty members.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and other researchers on research projects.
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in Computer Science or a related area.
  • Strong research background in theoretical computer science and/or data privacy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
