Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Fellow in Soft Math Lab to join our team at Harvard University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in macroscopic physics, quantitative biology, and applied mathematics, with a focus on soft matter physics, morphogenesis, and collective behavior of organisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the general areas of macroscopic physics, quantitative biology, and applied mathematics, with a focus on soft matter physics, morphogenesis, and collective behavior of organisms.
  • Develop and apply theoretical and experimental methods for the analysis of problems in these fields, including data analysis, geometric signal processing, and computational science.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and other researchers to advance our understanding of complex systems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and other channels.
Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Engineering, Biology, or Applied Mathematics.
  • Experience with theoretical and experimental methods for the analysis of problems in macroscopic physics, quantitative biology, and applied mathematics.
  • Strong background in soft matter physics, morphogenesis, and collective behavior of organisms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sensor design and deployment, data analysis, mathematical modeling, and computational science.
  • Strong background in discrete differential geometry, statistics, and computational mechanics.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work with experimentalists and other researchers.
