Job Description

Job Summary:

The Account Manager II - Client Relationship Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional client service, and serving as a mentor to others. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of insurance products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships through regular communication and in-person meetings.
  • Assist clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem-solving.
  • Continuously seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage to clients.
  • Work with producers and marketing account executives to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients.
  • Lead the marketing of accounts as requested by producers and marketing account executives.
  • Prepare marketing information and present options to clients.
  • Complete the implementation process and deliver all applicable forms to clients.
  • Formulate a plan with producers to conduct relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients.
  • Manage client relationships using client management systems and stay up-to-date on new products and legislative changes.
  • Mentor team members and provide guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance license(s).
  • Strong client relation skills, excellent communication skills, and service orientation.
  • Ability to utilize leadership skills and provide direction, constructive feedback, development, and training.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Certification in the field of endeavor.
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal.
