Objective and Purpose:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in executing complex accounting functions that ensure the financial integrity and compliance of the organization.

This position entails the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, budget evaluations, and management of the general ledger, specifically designed to meet the distinct requirements of a dental service organization.

The Senior Accountant will also contribute to the maintenance of precise financial documentation, guarantee timely reporting, and support the overarching financial objectives of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in alignment with GAAP standards.
  • Conduct thorough financial assessments to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and analyze budget versus actual reports, providing insights on variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax submissions and compliance reports.
  • Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, including receivables, payables, and payroll.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information through regular audits and evaluations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in the formulation and tracking of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Supervise the timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Implement effective cash flow management strategies.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to protect the company's assets.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
  • Identify and propose process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting operations.
  • Adopt best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of accounting experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur platforms.
  • Experience in multi-site operations.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is highly desirable.
