About the Role

Carrington Holding Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic objectives and ensuring a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Resolve complex and sensitive employee relations issues by conferring with managers and providing guidance on employment policies and practices.
  • HR Support: Provide day-to-day HR support to functional business units, applying a fundamental knowledge of human resources principles to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Partnerships: Liaise with various HR partners, including Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Organizational Design and Training, to ensure seamless execution of HR initiatives.
  • Initiative Execution: Assist with the execution of HR initiatives in support of strategic business objectives, including succession planning, high-potential programs, high-volume new hiring, and onboarding.
  • Consultation and Coaching: Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, performance feedback, and employment policies and practices.
  • Policy Interpretation: Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment policy and practices across the organization.
  • Escalated Issues: Resolve escalated employee relations issues effectively and with appropriate care and urgency.
  • Coaching and Counseling: Deliver coaching and counseling to employees at all levels, focusing on process improvement and increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partnerships and Trust: Build strong partnerships with employees and business leaders to foster trust and accountability.
  • Leave and Accommodations: Handle leave of absence discussions, work accommodations, workers' compensation, and desk ergonomic improvements.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training sessions for managers, associates, and other HR-related training.
  • HR Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of human resources functions, including employment policies and practices, staffing, reporting tools, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate intermediate MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Soft Skills: Exhibit outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and customer focus skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Four to six years' related human resources experience, with a heavy emphasis on project management, employee relations issues, and leave of absences.
  • Industry Experience: Mortgage industry experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Human Resources Certification (PHR) and/or Senior Human Resources Certification (SPHR) preferred.
