Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Resolve complex and sensitive employee relations issues by conferring with managers and providing guidance on employment policies and practices.
  • HR Support: Provide day-to-day human resources support to functional business units, applying a fundamental knowledge of human resources principles.
  • Partnerships: Liaise with various human resources partners, including Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Organizational Design and Training, to execute human resources initiatives in support of strategic business objectives.
  • Succession Planning: Assist with the execution of human resources initiatives, including succession planning, high potential programs, high-volume new hiring, and onboarding.
  • Consultation and Coaching: Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, performance feedback, and employment policies and practices.
  • Policy Interpretation: Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment policy and practices.
  • Escalated Issues: Resolve escalated employee relations issues effectively and with appropriate care and urgency.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training sessions for managers, associates, and other human resources-related training.
  • HR Functions: Working knowledge of human resources functions, including employment policies and practices, staffing, reporting tools, compensation and benefits, employee relations.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and customer focus skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Four to six years' related human resources experience, with a heavy emphasis on project management, employee relations issues, and leave of absences.
  • Certifications: Human Resources Certification (PHR) and/or Senior Human Resources Certification (SPHR) preferred.
