Community Outreach and Social Services Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Community Outreach and Social Services Coordinator to join our team at Project Self-Sufficiency, a non-profit organization based in northwestern New Jersey. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in connecting individuals and families with essential resources and services, empowering them to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
About the Role:- You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and partners, promoting volunteer opportunities and building coalitions to support clients.
- Conduct assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for services, providing information and referrals to relevant resources.
- Assist clients in navigating social services and accessing benefits, advocating for their rights within the community and service systems.
- A proven track record in social services, community outreach, or a related field is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
- A competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with previous experience and qualifications.
