Position: Compensation and Benefits Assistant Manager

Under the supervision of the Vice President – Senior Human Resources Manager, this role involves assisting in the coordination and execution of compensation and benefits initiatives aligned with established policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through specialized training and coursework.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources, focusing on compensation, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with ADP is preferred; experience with other payroll/HRIS systems is advantageous.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence, memos, and letters.
  • Proactive in resolving issues, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Oversee payroll preparation and processing, ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations.
  • Maintain documentation to support payroll entries and assist with system upgrades and administration.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, determining eligibility and managing timely enrollments.
  • Review and approve benefit invoices, confirming accurate enrollment.
  • Coordinate the benefits open enrollment process and communicate plans to employees through informative materials.
  • Stay updated on regulations affecting compliance and inform the HR Officer of any concerns.
  • Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures and performance appraisal processes.
  • Maintain FMLA and medical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Support the management of paid time off benefits and maintain personnel files for all employees.
  • Prepare and maintain departmental invoices and assist with budget management for the Division.
  • Create monthly variance reports and provide customized payroll reports as requested by management.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring operational preparedness and compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of information in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
