About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supporting the Superintendent in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Assist the Superintendent in managing construction projects, including reviewing contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Site Management: Monitor production rates, record progress, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Quality Control: Verify subcontractor layouts, check work for compliance with contract documents, and report any issues to the Superintendent.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the Superintendent, subcontractors, and other project team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Safety Management: Maintain and review safety requirements, resolve or report deficiencies, and work with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Coach and mentor field engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Logistical Coordination: Assist in maintaining the Construction Management Plan and coordinating logistical activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of superintendent experience in the commercial construction space.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, multitask, and resolve issues efficiently.
