Your Role:
As an Assistant Hospitality Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of warmth and professionalism. You will be part of a small management team, working collaboratively to enhance our guests' experiences and support our dedicated staff.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting a positive atmosphere of hospitality and professionalism by leading through example.
- Assisting in the recruitment of front-of-house team members, focusing on essential qualities such as multitasking and excellent service.
- Facilitating comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing development for all team members to ensure their success.
- Maintaining a visible presence during shifts to support staff and engage with guests, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging return visits.
- Upholding knowledge of company policies and ensuring team accountability.
- Collaborating with ownership to create and implement strategic growth initiatives.
- Ensuring adherence to operational systems, including opening and closing protocols.
- Communicating effectively with kitchen management regarding food-related matters.
- Completing daily administrative tasks, including cash reporting and order management.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Representing the owners' vision and goals as part of the management team.
- Being flexible with scheduling, including availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fostering team development and helping individuals reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or café setting.
- Multi-unit management experience is advantageous.
- Availability to work at least 50 hours per week, with flexibility as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative.
