Job Summary

The General Office Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position is responsible for greeting visitors, vendors, and customers, and arranging for escort services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and coordinate the flow of products with vendors and stores.
  • Communicate completion dates for deliverables and work with carriers to avoid transit delays.
  • Schedule and coordinate efficient distribution of products to satisfy store demand.
  • Analyze and revise shipment plans as required, and work with other departments to ensure store satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records.
  • Assign products to trucks based on length and purpose of trip, freight requirements, and user preference.
  • Investigate overdue vehicles, communicate with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
  • Compare and verify identifying information or shipping records on incoming or outgoing shipments with bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Prepare documentation for domestic or international shipments and maintain records accordingly.

  • Ability to use computer systems and knowledge of operational reports and procedures.
