The Plumbing Sales Counter Specialist will boost sales and customer satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous assistance to both walk-in and telephone customers in selecting and acquiring necessary products. As a trusted resource, you will play a key role in the company's sales achievements in a professional and measurable way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at the counter by accurately processing orders and entering them into the system.
  • Adhere to company pricing, credit, and payment policies.
  • Quickly and accurately retrieve orders from the warehouse.
  • Promote and sell overstock, damaged, and discontinued items to increase sales.
  • Address customer complaints and returns with a positive attitude.
  • Participate in scheduled physical inventory counts.
  • Perform warehouse and other assigned duties.
  • Manage open orders, ensuring follow-through to completion.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills, along with a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Able to manage challenging customer interactions with diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory management, warehousing, and stocking processes.
  • Capable of standing or walking for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy materials or equipment up to 75 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED required, with proficiency in business mathematics.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
