Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on plumbing products and solutions.
  • Efficiently and courteously assist customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.
  • Follow company pricing, credit, and payment guidelines to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Retrieve orders from warehouse quickly and accurately to meet customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and promote overages, damaged, and discontinued items.
  • Handle customer complaints and returns in a professional and positive manner.
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Superior customer service and organizational skills, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
  • Understanding of basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures.
  • Able to stand/walk for duration of work hours and lift/carry/maneuver heavy materials or equipment up to 75lbs.
  • High school diploma/GED required, with ability to perform business math.
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar position preferred.
