YOUR ROLE:
As a Culinary Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the kitchen staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing daily leadership and direction to the culinary team.
  • Supporting operational objectives and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Ensuring adherence to schedules while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Preparing menu items according to established standards and ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked for service.
  • Assisting in maintaining departmental budgets and cost control measures.
  • Promoting and exemplifying exceptional customer service in line with company standards.
  • Addressing customer service issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and maintaining consistent pars in the kitchen.
  • Assisting the Chef de Cuisine with administrative tasks, including attendance tracking.
  • Upholding quality assurance procedures to meet health and customer service standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting any concerns to management.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding all departmental matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • An Associate degree in Culinary Arts or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of culinary experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a culinary setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Skills in report writing and business correspondence.
  • The capability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to measurements and inventory.
  • The ability to interact with guests and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
