Radiological Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing engineering controls, work procedures, and supporting documents for performing work on, testing of, or handling radioactive and/or nuclear material.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engineering controls, work procedures, and supporting documents for radiological, environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene activities.
- Provide engineering support to ensure compliance with engineered work products, including updates or changes needed for work execution procedures.
- Develop engineered drawings, sketches, containment design, ESH controls, and lifting and handling diagrams to support unique and complex projects.
- May develop plans and reports and perform environmental characterization and investigation activities pursuant to local and federal regulatory programs.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science-related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science-related field.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Internship experience preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $62,000 - $94,900 annually.
