As a vital member of our logistics team, you will assist in overseeing the daily management of delivery personnel and coordinating the receipt of shipments at our facility.

Responsibilities:
Assist in effectively managing the delivery operations team.
Monitor the delivery fleet utilizing MobileCast and/or Roadnet.

Recommend and/or execute performance management actions, which may include hiring, transferring, and disciplinary actions, as well as assigning work.

Maintain accurate records of driver attendance, sick leave, vacation, etc.
Provide training to drivers on safe driving practices, proper lifting techniques, and company delivery protocols.
Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to observe and coach them on customer service, productivity metrics, and safety practices.
Oversee payroll functions, including attendance records and paid time off.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, which may involve safety requirements and drug screening.

Assist in the timely and accurate verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices, related paperwork, returns, and collections.

Engage with customers to resolve discrepancies and foster strong relationships.
Maintain collaborative relationships with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service departments.
Administer worker's compensation, incentive, and safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office and various software applications.
Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion, along with excellent customer service abilities.
Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid CDL license.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
Occasional carrying, overhead reaching, and lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
Occasional reaching to perform various office tasks.
Occasional standing and walking for short durations to complete various duties.
Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation may be required.
Minimal squatting or bending may be necessary.
Occasional stair climbing may be required.

Competencies:
May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
Resolve varied and non-routine issues through analysis and investigation.
