Job Overview

PURPOSE:

The Logistics Operations Specialist collaborates with the logistics team to address daily challenges. This role acts as a key intermediary between suppliers and various departments within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates effective communication regarding all non-conforming materials identified by internal monitoring systems, including audits and testing procedures.
  • Assigns non-conforming materials to the appropriate cost centers.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and investigative assessments.
  • Provides support for all deviation and line trial activities.
  • Monitors production metrics and dashboards, aiding in the handshake process.
  • Performs additional tasks as directed by the Operations Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• An Associate's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or a minimum of two years of professional experience in process quality or quality systems.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • At least one year of experience with non-conforming material processes and material management.
  • Familiarity with plant operations for a minimum of one year.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for at least one year.
  • Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written influencing and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and capabilities.
  • Experience in resource planning for at least one year.
