As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our delivery personnel and managing incoming shipments at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the effective management of the delivery operations team.
Utilize MobileCast and/or Roadnet to monitor the delivery fleet.

Implement and/or recommend performance management actions, including but not limited to recruitment, transfers, and terminations, as well as work assignments and disciplinary measures.

Maintain records of driver attendance, sick leave, vacation, etc.
Provide training to drivers on safe driving practices, proper lifting techniques, and company delivery protocols.
Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to observe and coach on customer service, productivity metrics, and safety standards.
Oversee payroll processes, including attendance records and paid time off.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, which may involve safety requirements and drug screening.

Assist in the timely and accurate verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices, related documentation, returns, and collections.

Engage with customers to resolve discrepancies and foster strong relationships.
Collaborate effectively with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service teams.
Administer worker's compensation, incentive, and safety programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related role
Proficient in Microsoft Office and various computer applications, including presentation software
Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion
Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a valid CDL license

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
Occasional lifting, overhead reaching, and carrying of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
Occasional immediate reaching and standing for brief periods may be required.
Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation may occur.
Minimal squatting or bending may be necessary.
Occasional stair climbing may be required.

Competencies:
May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
Ability to resolve varied and non-routine issues through analysis and investigation.
