Position Overview:

As a vital member of our delivery team, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our delivery personnel and managing the receipt of shipments at our Greenville facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the effective management of the delivery operations team.
- Monitor the delivery fleet utilizing MobileCast and/or Roadnet.

- Recommend and/or execute performance management actions, including selection, hiring, transfers, and disciplinary measures.

- Maintain accurate records of driver attendance, sick leave, and vacation time.
- Train drivers on safe driving practices, proper lifting techniques, and company delivery protocols.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to observe and coach them on customer service, productivity metrics, and safety practices.
- Oversee payroll processes, including attendance records and paid time off.

- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including safety requirements and drug screening.

- Assist in the timely and accurate verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices, related paperwork, returns, and collections.

- Interface with customers to resolve discrepancies and foster strong relationships.
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service departments to maintain a cohesive working environment.
- Administer worker's compensation, incentive, and safety programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
- Proficient in MS Office and various computer applications, including presentation software.
- Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion alongside customer service abilities.
- Capable of multitasking, working independently or as part of a team, paying attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid CDL license.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Occasional lifting, overhead reaching, and carrying of up to 15 pounds for various tasks.
- Occasional standing and walking for short durations to perform various duties.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
- Minimal squatting or bending required.
- Occasional stair climbing.

Competencies:
- May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
- Resolve varied and non-routine issues through analysis and investigation.
