Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in overseeing the delivery operations team.
    • Utilize MobileCast and/or Roadnet to monitor the delivery fleet.
    • Recommend and/or execute performance management actions, including hiring, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
    • Maintain accurate records of driver attendance, sick leave, and vacation.
    • Provide training for drivers on safe driving practices, proper lifting techniques, and company delivery protocols.
    • Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to observe and coach on customer service, productivity metrics, and safety compliance.
    • Manage payroll processes, including attendance records and paid time off.
  2. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including safety requirements and drug screening.
  3. Oversee the accurate verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices and related documentation.
  4. Engage with customers to resolve discrepancies and foster strong relationships.
  5. Collaborate with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Administer worker's compensation, incentive, and safety programs.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proficient in MS Office and various computer applications, including presentation software.
  • Strong results-oriented approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid CDL license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands for computer and telephone operations.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds and overhead reaching.
  • Occasional standing and walking for short durations.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Minimal squatting or bending required.
  • Occasional stair climbing.

Competencies:

  • May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
  • Ability to resolve varied and non-routine issues through analysis and investigation.
