Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the loading and unloading of rail cars in compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, utilizing operational and technical expertise to implement "best practices" in a professional and clean environment.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost management.
  • Foster a safety-first culture where every team member values and commits to preventing unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Maintain the equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Promote personal accountability for identifying and executing safe practices and environmental stewardship.
  • Exhibit positive leadership, demonstrating proactive problem-solving, decision-making, organization, and coaching techniques to enhance team performance.

Qualifications for a Successful Logistics Operations Supervisor:

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in railcar loading and unloading preferred.
  • Maintenance experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Dynamic personality with a focus on safety leadership.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Preferred: College degree.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to climb steps and ladders.
  • Ability to work, walk, and stand on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools.
