Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Used Car Buyer to join our team at Serpentini Chevrolet of Westlake. As a key member of our pre-owned vehicle acquisitions team, you will be responsible for identifying and purchasing high-quality used cars to meet the demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Evaluation and Appraisal: Conduct thorough evaluations of used vehicles to determine their market value and condition.
  • Negotiation and Purchase: Negotiate and purchase used cars from various sources, including auctions, trade-ins, and private sellers.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, wholesalers, and private sellers to source quality used vehicles.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed buying decisions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all purchases and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies for selling used vehicles.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in the used car market.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Used Car Buyer in the automotive industry.
  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Market Knowledge: Knowledge of current market trends and pricing for used vehicles.
  • Assessment Skills: Ability to assess the condition and value of vehicles accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive valuation tools.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
