Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers, both in-person and via phone, with their automotive parts inquiries and requirements.
  • Utilize a computerized inventory management system to locate, order, and monitor automotive parts.
  • Provide precise and comprehensive information regarding pricing, availability, and compatibility of parts.
  • Collaborate with service technicians and other team members to ensure prompt fulfillment of parts orders.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean parts department, ensuring proper storage and labeling of parts.
  • Process transactions, including receiving payments and issuing refunds or credits when necessary.
  • Assist with inventory oversight, including regular stock assessments, reconciliations, and restocking as needed.
  • Stay informed about new automotive parts and industry developments through ongoing learning and training.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in automotive parts is preferred.
  • Prior experience as an Automotive Parts Counterman or in a similar role within the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts and components, including familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.
  • Proficient in using computerized inventory management systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a knack for effectively assisting customers and building positive relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
