About the Role

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Engineer to lead transportation project designs, mentor early career professionals, and help grow our transportation practice in the North Region (New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex highway, roadway, and multimodal design, including preparation of conceptual design studies, preliminary and final design construction documents.
  • Supervise project staff, supporting their professional growth and providing technical mentorship.
  • Work directly with clients, building and maintaining relationships that help bring about transformative projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience in highway engineering and roadway design.
  • Professional Engineering licensure in NH, ME, or VT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience with CAD software - MicroStation/Connect, InRoads/OpenRoads preferred; AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS a plus.
  • DOT experience required - VTrans, NHDOT, and/or MaineDOT preferred (project design requirements and plan preparation guidelines).
  • Experience preparing proposals and project budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
