Job Overview

Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC), a distinguished name in the chemistry sector, is in search of a skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Regulatory Compliance Analyst for its operations. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.

We are looking for a proactive Regulatory Compliance Specialist to formulate and execute compliance strategies. Your role will involve scrutinizing documentation and processes, engaging with both internal and external partners on compliance matters, and conducting compliance audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with executives, managers, and staff to identify EHS and operational compliance priorities.
  • Review, update, and develop documentation, processes, and practices related to hazardous materials and product options.
  • Create and implement regulatory compliance strategies.
  • Coordinate compliance procedures across various organizational levels.
  • Deliver training on compliance practices and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and facilitate interventions to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct compliance audits and prepare reports.
  • Document compliance processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and developments in the compliance landscape.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Certification in regulatory and compliance assurance is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over five years of relevant work experience.
  • At least three years in a regulatory compliance role or similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with environmental health and safety regulations and laws.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous (Great Plains (GP), Vicinity, or WERCS experience is beneficial).

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulatory laws, statutes, and reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Adept at interpreting technical documents, regulations, and laws.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, organizational, planning, problem-solving, and training abilities. Capability to multitask and perform well under pressure is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and skilled in data collection and presentation.
