Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations specific to the aerospace sector, including AS9100.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and rectify quality issues, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and track performance.
  • Design and implement quality tests and inspections to verify product and process integrity.
  • Document and evaluate quality data, offering insights and recommendations for enhancements.
  • Lead and support corrective and preventive actions to address quality-related challenges.
  • Manage supplier quality activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and promoting supplier performance improvement.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Aerospace Quality Engineer role will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with TIER 1 or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing context.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address quality challenges.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, particularly AS9100, and a proven track record of ensuring compliance.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of statistical tools/software to interpret and act on manufacturing data.
  • A commitment to implementing and driving continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear conveyance of quality-related information.
