Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the project lifecycle from initial feasibility studies to final close-out, ensuring adherence to capital development standards.
Engage with site stakeholders to guarantee operational readiness and maintainability.
Develop and maintain a project risk register, ensuring necessary Hazop assessments are conducted.
Keep an active project schedule and provide regular status updates.
Build and nurture the project team to maximize performance through clear purpose, direction, and motivation.
Coordinate both internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, timeline, and budget.
Evaluate project status and adjust scope, schedule, or budget as necessary to meet project requirements.
Facilitate project review meetings throughout the project lifecycle with site teams and steering committees.
Ensure successful project deployment and startup, providing ongoing support, managing project finances, meeting timelines, and achieving quality targets outlined in the project scope.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated project management expertise, with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; a background in Lean Enterprise or Continuous Improvement is essential.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering is preferred; other disciplines will be considered with proven experience in large-scale project development and execution.
5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant role within heavy industry.
Proven ability in both conceptual and practical planning skills.
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (spreadsheets, project planners, charting, etc.).
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Proficient in AUTOCAD.
