Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Compass Health Network. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing quality and compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and their codependents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of consumers and develop personalized treatment plans to help them achieve their goals.
  • Counseling and Case Management: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to consumers, as well as case management services to support their overall well-being.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support to consumers in need.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of consumer interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care and support for consumers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a related field, preferably in substance abuse counseling or mental health services.
  • Licensure/Certification: Missouri Substance Use credential required.
