About the Role

The Crisis Clinician/Triage Clinician Lead is a key member of our person-centered integrated team, providing oversight and direct services to individuals presenting at our local Crisis Access Point (CAP). This role involves assessing individuals in behavioral health crisis, completing Open Access assessments, and directing the overall flow and referral processes at the CAP.

Responsibilities
  • Triage and Assessment: Swiftly and kindly assess individuals presenting at the CAP, avoiding unnecessary hospitalization and/or law enforcement contact.
  • Full Assessments: Provide full assessments to complete agency intake documentation when clinically appropriate.
  • Referral Management: Assess the appropriateness and readiness of referrals for all services, both internally and externally.
  • Team Leadership: Function as the lead for the multi-disciplinary team, providing supervision to staff on shift at the CAP.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with team members within the CAP, Compass, and external partners.
  • Client Records and Utilization Management: Maintain client records, following agency and state regulations, including knowledge of utilization management criteria.
  • Culturally Competent Services: Provide culturally competent services to meet the unique cultural needs of each agency consumer and family member.
  • Community Partnerships: Interface with other community partners, such as law enforcement and emergency medical personnel, to provide holistic services to persons served.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations and tasks of supervisees.
  • Performance Development: Complete performance development and AIM processes.
  • Time Management: Manage time sheets and supervisee time cards.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology preferred; Bachelor's degree in a human services field required.
  • Work Experience/Training: Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) as defined in 9 CSR 10-7.140 (2) (QQ) or (RR), or a licensed therapist with at least two years' experience and working knowledge of DSM-5.
  • Licensure/Certification: If a licensed therapist, must have one of the following: PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT. If a QAP, must have one of the following: CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP.
