Compass Health Network is committed to providing quality and compassionate care to our communities.
The Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist is a critical member of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, responsible for providing specialized services for the treatment of co-occurring substance use and mental illness to individuals enrolled in our ACT and ACT TAY Program.
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position that requires the candidate to be on call at times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide service provision based on multidisciplinary ACT care plans, including comprehensive substance use assessments, motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive behavioral approaches, and relapse prevention.
- Conduct high percentage of consumer contact involving specialty-related activities related to substance use or co-occurring treatment concerns.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and recording within the case record according to policy.
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and regular team meetings, including modeling skills and consultation, cross-training other staff, and attending daily organization team meetings.
- Adhere to ongoing professional training policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of co-occurring substance use and mental illness treatment principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong documentation and recording skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
