The Crisis Clinician/Triage Clinician Lead is a key member of our person-centered integrated team, providing oversight and guidance to team members. This role involves direct and indirect services to individuals presenting at the local Crisis Access Point (CAP), serving as the main assessor for those in a behavioral health crisis. The clinician will lead the overall flow and referral processes at the CAP, ensuring seamless coordination and effective care.
Responsibilities- Triage and Assessment: Swiftly and kindly assess individuals presenting at the CAP, identifying behavioral health distress and determining the most effective course of action.
- Referral and Coordination: Assess the appropriateness and readiness of referrals for all services, both internal and external, ensuring seamless coordination and effective care.
- Supervision and Leadership: Function as the lead for the multi-disciplinary team, providing supervision and guidance to staff on shift at the CAP, and working collaboratively with team members and external partners.
- Client Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to agency and state regulations, including knowledge of utilization management criteria.
- Cultural Competence: Provide culturally competent services to meet the unique needs of each agency consumer and family member.
- Community Partnerships: Interface with other community partners, such as law enforcement and emergency medical personnel, to provide holistic services to individuals served.
- Education: Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology preferred; Bachelor's degree in a human services field required.
- Experience: Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as defined in 9 CSR QQ), or a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) as defined in 9 CSR RR), or a licensed therapist with at least two years' experience and working knowledge of DSM-5.
- Licensure/Certification: If a licensed therapist, must have one of the following: PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT. If a QAP, must have one of the following: CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP.
