We are seeking a driven leader to fill the role of warehouse operations supervisor at a 300K sq. ft. distribution center located in a strategic location. This role will work with internal and external customers to enable operations processes within the distribution center to ensure timely completion of all warehouse tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of warehouse team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Align people and process to optimize the value of the supply chain.
  • Utilize, maintain, and recommend improvements within the warehouse management system (SAP EWM).
  • Drive the overall culture of safety, quality, and process improvement within the team.
  • Provide support to our specialty distribution center by aligning people and process to optimize the value of the supply chain.
  • Responsible for utilizing, maintaining, and recommending improvements within the warehouse management system (SAP EWM).
  • As a people leader, this role will be essential at driving the overall culture of safety, quality, and process improvement within a team of warehouse team members.
  • Work with internal and external customers to enable operations processes within the distribution center to ensure timely completion of all warehouse tasks.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve operations and mitigate risks within supervised team and broader warehouse operations.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and provide one-on-one feedback to encourage associates' development, including creating performance improvement plans for staff and administers discipline when necessary.
  • Participating in the interviewing and selection of new Associates and provide trainings during employee onboarding.
  • Provides input into succession planning process for own work area.
  • Aligns individual goals for self and others with work area/functional goals.
  • Works within budgetary/ financial objectives set by manager, applying knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within own area.
  • Leverages customer knowledge to develop alternative solutions and shares key learnings with others.
  • Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and proactively assist team members, as necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Ability to establish clear priorities quickly and work effectively under pressure, oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative people skills and leadership skills, ability to build a cohesive, focused, and motivated team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of leadership experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with Foreign Trade Zone application.
  • 1+ years of application experience using Supply Chain Management through ERP, TMS, and WMS systems.
  • Ability to work overtime and cover additional shifts as needed (including Night/Weekend coverage).
  • Ability to work a shift of Monday - Friday; 7AM start - until finish (must be flexible to work overtime as necessary to support business needs, to include on-call weekends).
