Position Overview:

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in facilitating warehouse functions by efficiently preparing, processing, and managing inventory in a safe and precise manner, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming products from external suppliers
  • Responsible for accurately reading and fulfilling orders
  • Transport inventory and materials across facilities using forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations
  • Prepare inventory for delivery to various job sites
  • Handle the delivery or collection of equipment and materials from job sites and suppliers
  • Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors
  • Maintain logs and documentation for inventory transactions
  • Ensure the warehouse environment is safe and accessible for all staff
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in shipments to supervisors
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting
  • Proficient in operating forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice; weekend shifts may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with trailer operations is preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle or forklift
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Frequent tasks may include climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, and crouching
  • Must be capable of working at heights and using ladders or scaffolding safely
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, masks, reflective vests, gloves, and safety footwear
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Must be able to hear and comprehend verbal instructions and communicate effectively
  • Vision must be sufficient to perform tasks safely and accurately
  • Ability to input data using a keyboard or numeric keypad
  • Must have the dexterity to reach, signal, grasp, hold, lift, turn, push, and pull objects and tools
