Executive Chef Manager

As a highly skilled Executive Chef Manager at Brookdale San Jose, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality food products are prepared and presented to our residents.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a diverse team of culinary staff in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, ensuring quality assurance and portion control.
- Select and prepare recipes, coordinate prep for the following day's menu, and develop new dishes and menus that meet resident preferences and dietary needs.
- Maintain inventory, requisition food purchases, and monitor costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and terminating associates, as well as provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Coordinate special events and maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation standards according to state and local health department code requirements.
- Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ServSafe Certified and possess any local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
- Possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and be exposed to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, as well as possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases.
- An estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
