Job Description:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision. This individual will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Work with the Executive Chef to plan and execute menus, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock, and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal levels.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff, provide guidance and training, and ensure that all employees are adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Labor Cost Control: Work with the Executive Chef to control labor costs, ensuring that they are within budget and aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications
