Job Summary

Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Room Service Attendant to provide exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience at our resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service: Take food orders, assist in preparation and packaging of food and beverage orders, and serve or deliver orders to guests at their assigned location.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate proper etiquette and service procedures when serving all guests, and provide a warm farewell and thank guests for visiting.
  • Order Processing: Assist customers in ordering from the menu, record ordered items on check according to established procedures, and ensure accurate payment for the services rendered.
  • Teamwork: Work cooperatively with co-workers to ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and participate in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the routine inspections and monthly inventories of Room Service equipment, wares, flatware, linen, etc. to ensure proper storage and maintenance.
  • Adaptability: Be willing to learn and be adaptable to changing situations, and maintain a clean, organized work environment, with all supplies needed to execute Room Service duties.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Six months prior food service experience preferred.
  • Certifications: CARE certified.
  • Skills: Legible handwriting, beverage and food service knowledge, ability to carry food and beverages safely and professionally, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to carry and balance food service tray, attend to multiple priorities simultaneously, and be on feet for 8-hour shift.
