ROLE OVERVIEW:

A Hotel Room Attendant is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness of guest accommodations, managing the delivery and collection of linens/laundry, and addressing guest inquiries to uphold exceptional service standards.

Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver courteous and professional service consistently.
  • Transport supplies and service items to guest rooms as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all public areas, including hallways, elevator landings, and stairwells.
  • Polish metal fixtures and furniture.
  • Collect soiled linens for laundering and store clean linen supplies appropriately. Assist the laundry department as required.
  • Vacuum floors and remove trash.
Job Functions:
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly to guest needs and special requests.
  • Team Collaboration: Treat colleagues with respect and uphold organizational values.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks; maintain cleanliness of storage areas and supply carts.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety and security guidelines; report unsafe conditions and use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly.
  • Compliance: Report lost and found items and maintenance issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of prior housekeeping or houseman experience is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Capability to follow directions and instructions accurately.
  • Guest service-oriented with a commitment to TBC's Quality and Operations Standards.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Regular bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Use of hands for operating cleaning equipment and performing various cleaning tasks.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to inspect cleanliness of surfaces.
