Position Overview: PAR is in search of a motivated and skilled full-time medical assistant floater for our West Broad location. This role offers weekly compensation and the chance to advance within a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Prepare patient charts; preload and scan documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Gather vital signs, patient history, current medications, and reasons for visits.
  • Accurately record patient interactions.
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding prescription refills and other questions.
  • Execute provider orders including DME oxygen setups, sleep studies, and follow-up requests.
  • Secure prior authorizations for procedures, medications, and copayment assistance.
  • Utilize inventory management systems for dispensing, transferring, and adjusting stock as needed.
  • Schedule appointments for new clinic patients, explaining policies and procedures.
  • Process prescriptions as required.
  • Manage medication and ancillary supplies inventory.
  • Administer injections and coordinate testing schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Completion of CNA or Certified Medical Assistant training or equivalent education/experience (preferred).
  • Experience with EMR systems: one year (preferred).
  • Experience with vital signs: one year (preferred).
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or CNA (preferred).

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Continuous standing and walking during clinic hours; primarily sitting outside of clinic hours with some walking and standing.
  • Manual dexterity required for using a computer keyboard, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
  • Manual strength needed for operating a manual blood pressure cuff.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently during clinic operations.
  • Capacity to view computer screens for extended periods.
  • Occasional stress related to workload and demands from physicians and patients.
  • Ability to sit for long durations with occasional standing and walking.
