Position Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Mountain View, CA

Employment Type: Permanent

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 15 years of experience in software design, architecture, and implementation.
  • A minimum of 3 years in the gaming sector, with a preference for experience in Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG).
  • Proficient in various engineering stacks, particularly Java and C++, as well as both back-end and front-end technologies, mobile applications, and a wide range of APIs.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering an environment where engineers are motivated and inspired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technology division, managing game and server engineers across multiple locations.
  • Shape the team structure, recruit new talent, and uphold high standards of excellence within the engineering team.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting a culture of collaboration, speed, learning, scalability, and excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership for various projects, including the integration of third-party applications and the transition to new game engines.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Adaptive Learning Platform and overall technology infrastructure.
  • Engage in strategic and operational decision-making as part of the senior executive team.

Benefits: This role includes medical and dental insurance and involves travel to South Korea several times a year.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the Korean language.
  • Master's degree in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.

Note: Candidates with experience at Zynga, in addition to other gaming companies, will be considered, but those with solely Zynga experience will not be eligible.
