About the Organization:
The NYC Department of Buildings is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of construction and building operations across the city. The department plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the built environment.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Budget Analyst to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the IT Budget Director, this role involves close collaboration in managing budgetary, invoicing, and contract-related activities associated with the procurement of IT goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cost and feasibility analyses to determine appropriate procurement types and funding sources.
- Monitor contract compliance to ensure timely processing of procurements aligned with the agency's mission and goals.
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms for hardware and software maintenance contracts.
- Regularly update internal databases and procurement tracking systems with budget and contract status.
- Oversee stakeholder recommendations for contractual services, including market analysis and vendor evaluations.
- Manage contract renewals, modifications, and extensions to ensure continued service delivery.
- Assess the need for scope adjustments and monitor budgetary data for funding changes.

Qualifications:
- A master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as economics, finance, or public administration, along with one year of professional experience in budget administration or financial analysis.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in complex budget management and contract processes.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of procurement policies and effective negotiation skills.
