Role Summary:

The Senior Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will be an integral member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team, providing essential support to various agencies within the PDX Pillar. This role will report directly to the FP&A Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • Assist agency finance leaders in the development of regular financial forecasts aligned with Publicis Groupe timelines.
  • Conduct Client Profitability Reporting for actuals and reforecasts, evaluating client margins and advising agency finance leaders on potential margin risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to analyze the general ledger, gaining insights into revenue and cost drivers.
  • Support the creation of presentations (charts and graphs) to communicate financial information to agency leadership.

Month-End Close:

  • Work alongside agency leadership to ensure the timely completion of month-end deliverables, including revenue flash reports, short-term forecasts, and month-end presentations.
  • Perform complex variance analysis comparing actuals to forecasts/budgets across all P&L line items and headcount.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

  • Extract and analyze data from Groupe financial systems (HFM, Anaplan, Power BI) to provide valuable insights to the leadership team, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing financial reporting processes.
  • Translate and clarify financial reports for business finance leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial P&L statements.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel functions (lookups, pivot tables, conditional logic, etc.).
  • Experience with Hyperion, Anaplan, or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with senior leadership.
