Position Summary:

Independence Pet Holdings, Inc. is in search of a hybrid Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This pivotal role is tasked with supporting FP&A functions across all brands in North America. The individual in this position will be instrumental in delivering business analysis, metrics, dashboards, and essential decision support to management, enabling informed decisions and fostering valuable insights and transparency throughout the portfolio.

The Senior Analyst, FP&A will report directly to the Vice President of Finance. Responsibilities encompass establishing consistent planning processes and procedures, standardizing key performance metrics reporting, facilitating communication across brands, and ensuring the provision of accurate and reliable data to leadership. Success in this rapidly evolving organization requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering timely and effective results in a dynamic environment.

Compensation:

$90,000 - $110,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual planning process and regular re-forecasting activities.
  • Consolidate, prepare, and analyze financial management reports for monthly and quarterly operating results, board presentations, and various ad-hoc requests.
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate FP&A and finance teams across brands.
  • Manage partnerships with regular check-ins and updates within the finance organization.
  • Report accurate and timely results along with variance analysis against plans, forecasts, and prior years.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging technology to design and implement innovative solutions.
  • Enhance information provided for the entire portfolio of brands.
  • Design and develop forecasting models and data allocation strategies.
  • Create financial management templates to ensure consistent inputs from brands.
  • Develop standardized business review presentations.
  • Establish dashboards and key performance indicators to facilitate effective business insights.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of the financial performance of all three financial statements at the parent level.
  • Develop deep expertise in the underlying business, technology, controls, and governance supporting planning and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to M&A processes and valuation practices while assisting in the implementation of acquired businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with parent controllership to ensure consistent application of financials on the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Play a key role in the ERP and EPM implementation process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting and/or finance or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience in financial reporting, statement consolidations, and intercompany allocation processes.
  • Expertise in budget development, long-range planning, and forecasting across multiple cycles.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Planning systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and Payroll & Benefit systems (e.g., Workday).
  • Proven ability to deliver data-driven solutions with a department-first mindset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
